A few words from Bee

Danish food is not spicey compared to southern countries.

Because of the climate the flavoring comes from salt, pepper, parsley, dill and chives.

Most dishes are eaten with small boiled potatoes, stewed vegetables, with a sauce suitable for meat or fish.

Brunede Kartofler (Browned Potatoes)
    Firm Small potatoes
1/2 cup Sugar
1/2 Stick Butter or margarine

Boil the potatoes in their skin and then peel.
When cold rinse in cold water and strain.
Melt the sugar in a frying pan then add the butter or margarine.
When the mixture is completely melted add the moist potatoes and stir frquently at low to medium heat until golden for 15-20 minutes. Serve with roast pork and other pork dishes.
